the rockets are getting slaughtered at the free throw line, not in the paint. the thunder have shot 147 free throws to houston's 96 through 6 games. i know you're going to die on this "need a rim protector hill" the same way you died on that "college atmosphere and camaraderie" hill, but just know you're wrong.

What do you do when you cant guard someone and you have no protection in the paint when they blow by you? You start hacking. There's a reason they are getting to the FT line more.
The NBA destroyed that. Allowed young prospects to stay in the states and get paid. Perfect move and an even better option than going overseas that benefits everyone.

Are they getting to the FT line at this rate against a team with a rim protector or literally anyone that can alter a shot in the paint? No.
Are they getting to the FT line at this rate because they keep getting fouled on jumpers? No.
So yes, the Rockets will keep fouling because the Thunder have 3 penetrating guards with zero interior help.

Russ was wildin, but it’s his first game back off the quad. Airball sounds about right late in the game with no legs under you. The **** was he posed to do when Harden was hiding? Russ could’ve been 15-18 on the night and harden should still go get that ball and make a play.

Still want harden to close. It was either Russ, who is still on a minutes restriction, make a play, or pass it to Gordon who is always willing to shoot it. Harden wanted no parts of the end of the game. And it’s crazy cause he could’ve pulled up from 35 ft, missed and no one would’ve said anything. Avoiding being the guy there was the only wrong move possible.

Even if it was his 2nd game back,
the fact that you can't trust a guy you're paying 200M to, to not discombobulate down the stretch of playoff games is nasty.

Tok OKC's credit, Dort and Bazley hit a couple of huge 3s in that 4th qtr. Kept them in the game. Then CP hit two of his own. The game could've easily gotten away from them.

If they had the WB from Jan-Feb I think this HOU team could push the Lakers to 7, but if LA is playing this version of WB, HOU got no chance in hell.
HOU needs to be 100% mentally and physically to try and take down Playoff Bron and they don't look either. At their current state they would be lucky to steal 1 game.
