Coincidentally, the Zona insider went scorched earth on Sumlin in a thread this week after posters expressed disappointment in Fisch and argued Sumlin was better even if he was winless. Dude claimed Sumlin was inebriated on the sideline during some games and was a notorious womanizer and scandal risk.

The dude had his wife write a fake death threat letter and drive out to a remote town between College Station and Austin to mail it in an attempt to make Aggie fans look bad when his firing became inevitable.

Coached and represented A&M at conferences and meetings many times drunk…

He might be the one person that can’t be fixed by Saban’s coaching rehab school.

Feel a bit bad for him, but he let that initial A&M contract and Johnny’s immediate success go straight to his head.

There were 100% rumors at A&M that Sumlin even early in his tenure was drunk in the building often. And that it started to spiral out of control towards the end to the point there were conversations about whether or not they could fire him for cause.

They ultimately decided that was a bigger headache than it was worth, but they at least felt they had a case.

Herman was worse because his whispers were alcohol, cocaine, co-eds, wives of other UT AD employees, strippers and all the swinger stuff… they were endless with Herman.

He at least bagged Kendra Scott multiple times
