He’s also a QB on the same team but wears #2. They got a clone of him as the QB2.
There was a player podcast with people telling Manziel stories and how he would barely try in practice and would half *** it in workouts and came out of the spring as the 3rd or 4th guy on the depth chart. Then was just like “fine I guess I’ll try” and in a matter of weeks won the job in fall camp.
Player said it was basically the same thing in HS, that he’d barely do any camps and when he did he’d show up and kinda **** around. But whenever he asserted himself everyone would be like

Billy Napier is a good coach. Whether he's the type of good coach that can be successful in a major program and not just at a G5 needs to be seen. LSU should have hired him imo but I've heard from multiple places there's cultural/classist reasons why the LSU boosters and admon would never let that happen.
