That offense was so ridiculous. I always felt like they were going to score every play

He, Demps and Rainey were a damn cheat code plus you had one of them and Brandon James on kick off/punt returns...ahh the good ol days when we were a proper country.

That's actually not a bad fit for Arch. He likely won't get thrust into action to early and get to sit for a year or two before really being expected to be the starter.

Of course this means that other coaches will be posted in the DM's of Murphy and Card waiting for them to hit the portal

No excuses for Sark and Texas now. Everything is setting up for them to be a great program again...if they're not getting 10+ wins every year now with the NIL/Transfer Portal Era, go ahead and bury that program into the ground!

I think they still have some strides to make along the LOS to be able to get to that level, especially with their transition to the SEC. NIL will certainly be an aid in helping them get there in time but I still think they are a couple of classes away from that type of expected consistency being realistic

Ewers about to be Tate Martel 2.0

Nah, If Quinn really is the guy we expect him to be, he'll only be on campus with Arch Manning for one year and then Arch can take over in 2023. In reality, I think that Quinn is a more talented quarterback prospect than Manning.

Not even being a salty Georgia fan but I've said it in this thread many times that I believe Arch is a talented quarterback in the five-star range but I don't think he's a generational talent. He plays against ordinary competition in Louisiana and if he weren't a Manning, He would probably be the 3rd or 4th ranked quarterback, not #1

It's Texas we're talking about here. Everything has always been set up for them to succeed. They are either the first or second most talented team in the Big 12 yet they can never accomplish anything.

Acquiring talent has never been their issue. They've consistently had classes ranked in the top five, and even a top three class yet they can never put together on the field.

Their OL is still probably going to be a disaster this year. Needs a lot of lift from freshmen. The guys that are there haven't been very good.

I don't see how the defense is much better than OK at this point, either. I think you're right they're a couple of classes away.

I like Arch - I don't think he's some world beater clearly unanimous best player in America talent, but he's obviously talented. But the PR boost from this is obviously strong.

*ducks* Arch Manning isn’t even that good.
It's hard to tell just how good he is, IMO. The level of competition he's playing in that classification of Louisiana is just flat out bad.

Could easily make an argument he's not the best QB prospect in Louisiana. Doesn't mean he's not good.

I think he's good but if you look at his ranking and the fact that he is one of the few prospects in history to be the consensus number one in all the recruiting rankings, I do think that makes him overrated.

Hes not in the Vince Young, Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence class of QB prospects.

Yea, it just doesn’t seem like he’s this program changing QB at this point. Maybe the intangibles and understanding of what it means to be a pro on the highest level give him a bit of an advantage — but flat out talent wise it looks like Nico, Jalen, Dante Moore are easily better than him.

Sark/Manning is going to be fun to watch.

Is Manning expecting to start day 1? I remember being told Ewers was expecting to start day 1 wherever he chose to go to when he was still in HS.

Ewers just needs 2 years before he can bounce so it makes sense for Manning to watch his freshmen year and then take over. Easier to do these days with NIL.

Heard the Mannings are super picky with what they do NIL wise. True or not? Gotta protect the name and cant just take any NIL deal out there.

in this class, nothing wrong with being the #4 ranked QB. There's some talent there.

Nico is #1 for me. BUT, the fame he's getting is getting to his head. I hope he can handle it. They come from nothing.

He’s got a lot of hype behind him that’s for sure. I mean what does he have to do to live up to it? Natty? Heisman?
