KP isnt the same player. Lost all his athleticism. No more facials, put back dunks, iso crossovers. It's all gone. They're hiding that behind "he was playing within the offense" and "system player"

I was talking to a few buddies of mine and I made the point of no team coming out as winners in the trade. Not sure it's that still true.

I do think that the refs bail Trae out when going against bigger players. Modern refs tend to try to “even out” size. One of the reasons it’s so hard for big players who aren’t shooters to take advantage of big size mismatches is because the refs are just ready to blow the whistle on the flop. You need to have immaculate footwork like Embiid. I wish they’d allow more bully ball.

Really frustrating to watch Trae play TBH. It does seem he get's bailed out often.

The Mavericks got two and a half years of really high-end bench play from Tim Hardaway and a KP lottery ticket for Dennis Smith Jr and two picks that will be in the 20s.

but letting the "other guys" go off against you is not a good recips

Maybe on offense have whoever is guarded by irving set a pic for giannis so they can switch and get kyrie in foul trouble/ tired

like when bron was in cleveland and they would make curry guard kyrie or bron by setting pics and getting switches
