Hawks need to run B. Goody with the second team and move Lou Will over to the 2. Goodwin’s game is rough but he plays with a higher tempo and that’s the only way we can outplay Philly. Embiid slowing the game down to his pace is why we’ve been getting smoked.
An uptempo game is still a mismatch for y’all especially with Simmons and Harris. Would you rather let Simmons continue to get downhill and feed open shooters or Embiid roasting Capela/Collins

Suns still haven’t faced a dynamic PnR ball handler. LeBron was obviously one & that looked like a 5 game series before his trademark poor body language after the AD injury. Brooklyn would be a nightmare matchup.

Outside of transition points off turnovers, Suns are scoring off Paul/Book isos and completely breaking Denver down in the PnR. You can pick on Ayton in literally the exact same manner but Denver has no guards. Monte Morris has come crashing back to earth. Completely different series if even 1 of Barton or Murray were healthy. 2nd straight playoff run without a healthy Barton so very frustrating if you’re a Nuggets fan.

Malone has Jokic either drop or a very soft & weak show, and he brings over the man in the weakside corner to either give Jokic the extra help that he needs in drop or to pick up the roll man when Jokic shows. This requires sharp rotations & airtight communication on the backend and Denver is struggling. The Suns get an open shot in the halfcourt whenever they want.

Phoenix started really spamming the PnR in the 3rd quarter of G2 and they pick up right where they left off on the very first possession of G3

You see Ayton has Book in the corner.

Next possession they run a curl with Book & Ayton, which is set up almost the same way as a PnR so Jokic has to make a choice, he shows, the roll man is open & Book makes the play. Game plan is clear: set a screen with Jokic’s man, make him & the guys behind him make a decision.

They run the curl again, Jokic stays back so Rivers provides the help this time. They reset with a Book Ayton PnR, MPJ comes off the corner to pick up the roll man after Jokic with a much harder/stronger show but you see why he doesn’t come up this far very often - he just doesn’t have the foot speed to keep Book in front of him. He gets beat to the baseline & at one point Book has AG, Jokic, & MPJ on him. Easy dump off

Book goes 1on1 a few times then they’re right back to it. Austin ices it, Campazzo comes off the corner, MPJ has to help the helper by sinking to the corner off of Bridges who’s now open & eventually finds the ball

Very next possession they’re back at it. Jokic in deep drop so CP attacks, ends up with an open 10 footer. One of the greatest midrange shooters ever so that’s easy money.

So you see they just have Denver in hell. They hammer this all game & finish with a 122 offensive rating. Everybody on the floor eats off the pnr.

Again Ayton has similar weaknesses defensively but Murray can’t play & Barton isn’t conditioned. Paul/Book are much more dynamic PnR ball handlers than anything Denver has.

This will change in the next round. Utah is probably a worse matchup for Phoenix because you know they’re committed to the PnR with Rudy on the floor, and Mitchell/Conley are capable ball handlers.

Kawhi & PG are good enough too but they obviously play much more iso, and you’ll live with contested jumpers from them over Bridges & Crowder.

So keep an eye on Ayton defensively in the next round.

Nah B, you did this during the Clippers/Mavs series highlighting why the Clippers were going home  :smh:
