This is the thing that kills me with Simmons: (among other things)

you can tout yourself as this defensive savant all you want

but after the 1st round you’re going to go up against someone you won’t be able to stop anyway so automatically your defensive value takes a hit and for someone like Ben who’s whole shtick has turned into this defense first guy, that’s a massive hit.

It’s easier to coach up great offense and bad defense than the inverse
