Definitely been a tough year, just a million things went wrong, but honestly the bullpen/start to the year was huge and we couldn't stay healthy enough late to do this right.
Castellanos was a HUGE addition, and then Contreras goes down.
Contreras comes back, and Baez goes down.
Rizzo and Bryant both have had small nagging things.
Zobrist sitting out for 4 months.
Yu Darvish has been AWESOME this year, and Cole Hamels started the year out fire, and then hurt his side and hasn't been the same since.
Kimbrel completely didn't come in 100%, Morrow fell off the planet, Strop had his worst year ever, CJ Edwards fell apart, Monty got dealt.......
All year long, win 3-4, lose 3. Win 5, lose 4. Lose 3-4, win 5. Add that up, you get a team just above .500 basically. We got up to 14 games over, and now we're back down to 11. And we're going to fail to win 90+ games for the first time since 2014. And really, going 8-11 against the Reds is the reason why. No excuse to lose to them that many times. Win 4-5 of those games, and we'd be up in the division right now with a chance to clinch.
