He's a good player. He got a good amount of playing time this year and he was projected to be the full-time starter next year, especially seeing as all of the guys in front of him are going pros/out of eligibility.

From a playing time or schematic standpoint, it doesn't make any sense for him to transfer portal but I imagine he's trying to get a bag.
