As you can see, there was plenty of time. All of it is contingent on getting stops. A made fg there gives them them a chance to win if they could’ve gotten off the field on 3rd & long.

Except Freeman admitted he just didn’t trust his offense to score so he went to his kicker that has been horrible all season instead. It was a cowardly decision.



They STILL didn’t stop Ohio State and didn’t get the 3rd possession they would have needed until :29 seconds left. AGAIN a FG would have turned a two possession game into a two possession game and they would still need two touchdowns after the FG.

Defense doesn’t give up that bomb on 3rd & long, they get the ball back down less than 6 with like 3 minutes left (obviously if they had made the fg). Clock stops on first down. That’s plenty of time, man. Fg attempt made plenty of sense.

I’m not confused at all. We’re all talking about ifs here. If they made that field goal and got that stop, they have a chance to win without praying for overtime.
