We don't require a superstar; what we need is a system player. The way we're currently playing emphasizes team ball, and it's remarkable. As long as we maintain our focus on passing and distributing the ball while having two reliable players who can create opportunities for themselves, we're in excellent shape.

Literally feel the same way after this OG trade. This is closer to the Spurs dynasty than the big 3 era of basketball.

It’s his right shoulder right? He might miss a few weeks. Hope it’s not a lingering issue. Shoulder injuries suck

The unfortunate aspect of Randle's injury is that he was playing within the system rather than trying to be the system himself. This is something we've been hoping for, and I hope he returns with the same mentality instead of trying to showcase himself excessively.

Gotta let dude rest as long as needed. Melo had that season with the shoulder injury and he rushed himself back and that shoulder impacted him all season

IIRC it was the playoffs against the Pacers from Hibbert he got the shoulder injury. Only affected him for the rest of the series. Randle will be fine if he didn't tear anything or injure his rotator cuff.

It's this injury. Lingered for awhile as he played through it. Obviously not as severe as a dislocation but def needed like 2-3 weeks rest to recover fully. Ironically, Melo hunched over in the same part of the court as Randle did today

Ah damn how come I don't remember that. Also googled his shoulder injury from 2013 and he tore his labrum on the left shoulder (opposite from the one you're showing) which he opted to not get surgically fixed. Glad Randle didn't tear anything. My friend tore his labrum and he constantly kept dislocating his shoulder doing things like putting on a jacket til he eventually said screw it lemme get the surgery done.

Curry dislocated his non shooting shoulder last season & missed a month. Don't know the extent of Randle's injury yet but if there was any 'good' time to miss a month, now's the time.

Softer schedule with a lot of home games & All Star break in the middle.
