Speaking of, those reddit dudes are the worst.

Someone posted a yoox link that had a bunch of old ALD stock for some reason. From the days when the brand kind of had its own identity and wasnt just RL-lite (also perfectly in line with the OG 997s) and all of them are trashing it.

Meanwhile these dudes have nothing but loafers, high waisted straight leg trousers, and lace shirts cause that's what socials told them is hype.

I’d personally take 2018 ALD > 2024 ALD, but all I see in this 2018 lookbook is RL, Tommy, and Noah. I’ve never seen ALD as design. It’s a curated look of mid-tier prep and casual wear with stepped up quality and price. Not that RL, Tommy, and Noah were ever earth-shattering on a design front either.

I like ald’s casual/street clothes. Never liked there “high-end” stuff enough to buy. That’s what other brands are for. But when it comes to sweatsuits, gotta give it up to ald.

How has the shift from Canada to Vietnam affected them? Todd did the same but went back to Canada for the latest season.

I don’t like the neck (wide). But I’m at that point where everything is the same. Need them to go back to Canada for sure or at least the size specifications smh. How hard is it to copy what you did?

Not sure about the sweats but I know the miCanada tees had the exact dimensions as Roopa’s blanks. Now I see they’re shorter and wider. Wasn’t sure if that was strictly a factory thing or cuz crop tops are SoHo approved.
