I work in my Sneakers. Specifically the all white base.
I will have gone through 10+ pair of AF1's and probably 20pair of white sneakers by the time Fall hits.
They'll be done. Wearable and washed x2-3 times but ransacked by the Nephews.

That's a good point. I work an office job in my sneakers. They don't get beat up like crazy but they do get used.
I got nephews and **** coming up as well so it always feels good to give them gently used heat.

how likely are unworn af1s to crumble

The midsole doesn't really crumble but the air bubble inside does. Very likely after a certain age. Can maybe get a wear out of them at that point but the midsole will looked smooshed. Also if there is any sole separation you'll start leaking crumble.
