The real cult classic they need to bring back is those original JD sports exclusives from mid 2000s. With the inverted black/white colorblocking with icy outsoles… hard to even find a pic these days

Yea I think these are it!! I believe they used to call them the Portlands. Maybe there was another version with the icy sole? But yea this was back in mid 2000s when you had to go to Europe for these bc JD Sports wasn’t in the states yet

There was a dope white moc croc AF1 low with icy sole that was from EU Footlocker around 2004/2005.

I used to send JD exclusives to folk in the States back then and they would send me US exclusives. A dude called forcesandfitteds wanted anything EU only, he might have been on ISS forums.

copped so many gems for the low back then.

The whole reason I started getting on sneaker forums. Circa 09-10. Had to get 50 posts to use ISS/SC marketplace and do meetups in NYC, the rest is history

Now that I think about it.. that was the reason I finally decided to join ISS and here as well. Lurked both for years before actually joining. Between both forums the buy/sell marketplaces were amazing . Would scour both daily. Just had to watch out for the scammers on ISS tryna pull a fast one

Slightly off topic, but your avy reminded me of yesterday. Went to an incredible exhibit gallery with the private collection of Ice T & Afrika Islam. So many incredible Hip Hop artifacts and original photos, of course containing a pic or two of early era AF1's & other gems.
