Yeah I dug the blocking, even dug the 3m laces... but after having my pair for a few weeks I couldn't get over the suede/nubuck and sent them back. They looked great on feet, I'm just OCD about little things like that though.

I never really understood what makes it so bad. You can´t really see it when you look at them and even if you could it wouldn´t be a bad thing. Is it because it is different from the OGs? Is it because it may stain easier then smooth leather?

Love the Barons because of the white-black-grey combination, something about that works really well for me.

baron's are great.  i love my pair.  the liner in particular.  much more comfortable than the other 1's.

@TeivLite   I was hesitant about the suede because you can mess it up quick but I like it. You like what you like and thats all that counts. Hope you got your hands on the black whites. The materials on those are 

No doubt that was my main concern too, the durability on that suede as well as maintenance in the long run of things its all irrelevant as long as you get good wear out of them. I did get the b/w's they basically were the barons minus gray suede/nuback and you're absolutely right the white leather/pleather is a lot more plush and softer then the og's of '13!

we need OG metallics released, OG uni's and i wouldnt mind og styled black metallics but in all honesty yeah its preference but the fact that this shoe started it all for most of us i would almost have to say they are all equal (to a certain extent) but thats only og high 1s and no mids are worth mentioning imo (****** 1s just look weird)

I need these OG White/Grey and OG UNC in my life....

pinstripes are the best part. I'd prefer leather instead of nubuck tho.

 I thought I was the only one who thought that. There's a reason why they sat and people struggled to get rid of their extra pairs, at first. I still think they're ugly. I think people just settled on the next OG colorway after black/reds released. And people just jumped on it after the hype started growing. Maybe no one went for them because an ugly GR 4 came out. But to each their own. Hope I don't get bashed for not liking Shadows.

a lot of ppl wanted to join the holy trinity family too. 

ppl really slept on the shadows cause the real hype was on those red 4's, then you also have to consider the releases that followed that drop ( fear pack, bel airs, laneys, oreo's, taxi's gammas etc and and the various kobe/lebron/kd releases) ppl were saving money top go after all those shoes ...but once the black/reds released a lot of ppl went after shadows as a consolation, thats when prices really shot up. by early 2014 royal prices were too steep

Shadows only go for that much after the Blk/Red release in Dec. Once those became unattainable at a reasonable price, like the Royals, next in line to jump up on was the Shadows which were still available at decent prices.

Are they worth 300+? No, but imo neither are Royals, Blk/Golds, XQs, but people paying arm, leg, & torso for those.

Thanks. I never owned a pair of Shadows because I thought they were ugly the first time I saw them. And for the Toro 4s, I had a change of heart for them. I thouht they were cool when they released, and like most people, I purchased a pair. I ended up selling it this August because the shoe didn't look appealing to me anymore. I guess my taste for shoes changed. When you have Toro 5s and Gym Red 1s, you look at the 4s and they simply look ugly. The color isn't even a nice shade of red, the quality sucks, it's not a suede and everyone and their baby's momma has them.

I don't think those shoes are worth the price either. Although I do think they're cool, I can't justify paying such amount.

While most people are hating them, I'm wearing them. I don't worry about the suede on the Baron's at all, this is probably my 7th wear. Maybe you guys walk, run and kick things a lot.

She's always posting up credible detailed pics of shoes before stores get em & she tweeted earlier that anyone holding onto NYC 1's for high profit better sell them soon because there are major restocks coming for them & price will plummet. Yes I know it is a rumor as of now but she's been credible as far as I can tell & just thought I'd pass this info on to the AJ1 thread fam. Take it for what it's worth.
