Exactly! That's why a good amount of 2020-2021 I didn't buy as many sneakers as I usually do because I was saying to myself I'm working from home and was very limited what I can do when I go out so why keep buying all these sneakers that I have no idea when I'm going to wear them.

I didn't go crazy, but definitely bought more than made any sense, including some Oakley X-Metals, just to entertain myself outside of just working. SMH.

People were stupidly getting paid to stay at home and were given additional free money by the government on top of that. Of course everything started reselling as a result lol

What blows my mind is how Nike/JB couldn’t see this.

A lot of companies never saw this........that's why after the Pandemic restrictions have finally lifted, you now see a lot of companies struggling and even going out of business because of them "BANKING IN ON PANDEMIC BUYING HYPE." Look at video game sales, they took a sharp decline the moment Pandemic restrictions lifted due to folk being free to go outside again.............with 3rd party video game publishers being bought up left & right 'cuz they couldn't maintain "pandemic buying profits."

Nike/JB aren't the only short-sighted ones, even though that is the topic of this conversation

Thats probably part of the reason why ps5 pros aren't sold out lol. If we still had the pandemic on our hands I'm sure it woulda been gone instantly and hard to get for months like the og ps5's were.

Sony's charging $700+ for them thangs..................even resellers know there is no profit in cart botting that **** without a pandemic keeping folk at home LOL

Problem is people attributed selling out to “hot” 😒.

Artisanal Team Ted & the Dusty Clay pairs from earlier this year were fire (IMO) but the market for non-collab 1’s is ice cold right now.

Good for the buyers doe
Nike/JB simply flooded the market with AJ1s and killed the model in terms of sneakerhead hype and interest so even the few nice GR cws are going to sit.

Even crazier than somehow even those Travis AJ 1s lows are going for <$500 on resale.

This is great for people who love AJ 1s and don’t care if they aren’t trending or are in the spotlight (in terms of being fashionable) anymore.

Seeing so many AJ OG Highs on sale everywhere reminds me of when the boost hype died and Ultraboosts and NMDs could be found everywhere for dirt cheap despite reselling for hundreds just a few years prior lol
