Pretty sad that AJ1s are so dead that Nike/JB gotta straight up lie about the Bred 1s history to market them better and move pairs at the new $250 retail.

Along with 95% of cws on the $180 retail OG Highs being trash, what a fall from grace the Air Jordan 1 High has had over the past few years, all because of Nike/JB’s corporate greed to push out as many pairs as possible at higher pricepoints, regardless of design quality.

I don't think they're trying to justify it at all. I think it's just the start of the 40th anniversary ad campaign. To me, it's like any other price increase over the years. They know the black/red AJ1 is an historically great selling shoe, and they're trying to milk it for all they can.

I’ll be in for breds and Unions don’t really care about other sentiments other then shoes price. I would complain but with so many 1s being had for $100 bucks I wont. Lol

I’m trying to envision how loud the debate is going to be over the leather used for the Shattered Backboards next year.

Even the shade of orange will probably create a general sense of panic and revolt.
