Crazy how we prolly would of never got them tumbled soft OG colors banned royals shadows if the SBB wasn't so loved. That colorway created a whole lane lol

A big part of it was that we had such terrible quality on so many OG 1s (from that era Highlight Reels and, to a lesser extent, even Barons come to mind) and we haven’t seen comparable quality in many OG High releases since those 2015 SBB 1.0 so they have really stood out and even coined the phrase “SBB Quality.” That said, I do think modern OG Highs are overall better quality than what we were getting 10-11 years ago, although retail was $140 back then (2014) vs $180 today which is a significant price increase.

I remember missing out on that release and pulling up to a HoH for a raffle and they just got a restock and doubling up. Too bad I off loaded them. But I’m not a big fan of Chicago colorways unless they’re Chicagos.

I’ve been considering trying to find a used pair of the 2015 UNCs in great condition on eBay.
The prices have dropped significantly.
It might make sense, assuming the quality on the reimagineds won’t live up to the standard set by the OGs.
There’s a pair available right now in my size, lightly used, that I think I can probably get down to $300.

Yeah they’re reimagined but I think they’re going to be like the L&Fs (where they will be aged) and not some suede or missing wings logo monstrosities like the Royals and BTs lol

I have a pair of these in the black and green cw and they are awesome snow sneakers! I wore them snowtubing last year during a ski trip with friends.Meant to post this earlier

Everyone is going off the mock-up that has them aged like L&Fs, but unless I'm remembering wrong there hasn't been a reimagined pair that had the same template.

The white/cement 3s count? I get what you’re saying, they didn’t give em the full aged treatment. But they were aged. I guess full treatment would’ve been a cracked Nike air on the heel

Yeah close, but no scuffed collars or cracked leather. The red leather on the L&Fs also had that unfinished treatment that's unique.

I still need a pair. Just don’t want to get got with fakes.
I also think the AJ1 is the only model that can get away with that look. Then again, the off white 2s were dope too.

Of the L&Fs? Yeah they made those scarily close when I saw people showing fakes.
