I'm honestly contemplating biting the bullet on the NG's now before they're out of my price range.

They will go out of your price range sooner rather than later. Do it now or forever eat your words.

Dudes are paying $500 for dunks that look like chicago 1s but dunks that look like neutral greys are less than actual retail price of neutral greys. I don't get it.

My 2 cents. Possibly of limited 85s to start could be production line issues maybe. Kind of like adidas 4d. Not saying they're equal but could be similar in that we will see them ramped up as time passes.

How could they be “similar” when Adidas had issues with scaling up the 4D tech in the tooling with Carbon? It’s clear Nike/JB have been putting out a tiered system with AJ 1s and selling them at different price points with the higher end of 85s and even OG 1s being the upper level with Zoom CMFTs being in the middle and mids and Jumpman lows being the lower end. It’s smart business for them (since the higher end end up as aspirational products compared to the lower end), even if enthusiasts like us hate it.
