I don't mind the shape of the retro lows but that massive tongue with the embroidered jumpman bugs me.

as far as comfort goes is the 85s any different than the regular jordan 1 lows? I only have the koston sb and black toe... might pull the trigger eventually on the blue metallic and neutral gray...

Go a half size up from the OG lows (this would typically be your AJ1 high OG size)

That was true for the NG but the metallic blues don’t have as much padding as those

It’s the embroidery that irritates me. But they are what they are.

I think this is the case. the metallic blues I got in my normal AJ1 high size were pretty snug in the toebox/forefoot. overall shape is slimmer than regular retro AJ1s.

The poly sole is thicker and what makes 85s feel like they fit smaller. Replace the insole with a regular J1 insole and it will be like sizing down .5 size.
