i had the site up were it would let me search and stuff would come up but i couldn't get the right page ... i tried almost everything retro 1 high etc etc.. never came up but it never crashed on me

Everyone should have known what to expect with JJ. They're a small site running Drupal. Their system isn't like the other ones. The site takes it in the **** and then you hope for the best. It's a crapshoot.
