i think the #1 market for the Air Maxes is Europe, otherwise why is the stock from the ABs so small compared to Europe ?? and the ABs are not a japan exclusive, only the black/neons were Asia exclusive

Half up from racer size in my opinion for the OG build of 97s. If you are getting a pair of 97 ultras, same as racer for me.

Other measurements I can suggest you
All in US sizing

I wear size 9.5 on flyknit AirMax 1s
I can squeeze in size 9.5 Air Max 0s
TTS size 9.5 on most Air Jordan retros(2,3,4,5,6,13,14) except Jordan 1
size 9.5 on adidas Pure Boost (I assume Pure Boost size the same as Ultra Boost )
TTS size 9.5 on Reebok Question
Slightly snug but TTS on size 9.5 AF-1

Any Air Max retro (1, 90, 95, 97), Ultra or not, I have to wear size 10.

Non-flyknit Air Max retros are narrow.
