I think people think that or might say that because there is material that is stitched on to the upper, whereas the ultras are fused. It looks more like a hybrid between the two.

the upper is OG build but the midsole and the air unit are from the Ultras

the midsole got less weight and is more comfortable compared to the midsole from the normal AM97s
