Owning the Twins and owning the best catcher in the American League are two completely different things.

Manny deal worked out fine depending on your definition of success. He didn't hit for power but still got on base at around a .400 clip and gave Konerko such much needed protection in the lineup which is why he went on a tear the last 3 weeks of the season.

No one is going to lose any sleep over owning Manny about a mill a year for the next 3 years
