Had some doubts that Apple was heading skyward? Those lingering concerns can now be put to rest. Apple has confirmed that it will be announcing iCloud on June 6th, what it's calling an "upcoming cloud services offering." That will be part of the keynote for this year's Worldwide Developers Conference, known to the cool kids as WWDC. This is, of course, where everyone has come to expect new iPhones to come to light, but this year we're thinking the focus will be more on software, and indeed Apple's event notice indicates that the big highlights will be Mac OS X Lion and the next version of its mobile operating system, iOS 5. This is a decidedly non-Apple way to announce something big like iCloud, making us wonder what other surprises Steve Jobs will have for us at the event -- yes, he'll be kicking things off. As ever you can find out as it happens here, live.

Meh...can't say I didn't see that coming. I am intrigued to see what the new iPhone is like, though. My contract is up next Jan. and I'm looking to take my talents to another carrier (probably Verizon,) since AT&T will probably end up taking over T-Mobile and enforcing their rapture prices upon me.

All I know is that I need a new phone that is designed for people with technological deficiency disorder, like me, who want to feel like they have a cool phone. If that is the iphone5 then that thing better hurry up and come out

I thought we were going to get the iPhone 4S first and then the iPhone 5 next year

I'm also guessing iOS 5 will include customizable widgets like we see on Android.

That is the rumor that's floating around now.

I'm hoping Apple decides to stop charging for Mobile Me, but I got a feeling that just won't happen though

Pretty much. Kilo you just need to get the phone and get used to it. It's one of the simplest, yet most effective interface out there. lol. It's like a mac really. You're so used to the PC that once you go use a mac you're all like
