I decided to finally post this because I got it exactly one year ago today.

It has some significant coincidence because it was delivered to me while I was away at a job interview. I asked my neighbor who lives below me to retrieve it for safekeeping since I was expecting it, but she didn't get to it for some reason. It was safely at my doorstep when I came home thankfully.

And I got hired on that same day at the interview! But I still haven't worked for my employer yet due to this stupid pandemic.

Perhaps this jersey was good luck because it came when I got hired at my job interview all on the same day.

Anthony Edwards Authentic City Edition from the Timberwolves Pro Shop. Name and numbers have stitch marks on them but are heat pressed. rest is stitched

I'm posting this Kobe Bryant purple #8 jersey that I got recently in the spirit of the NBA All-Star Game.

I'm glad I finally got one which made me realize it was a good thing I never got an authentic Nike or Reebok version back then because they were made f'd up with the wrong layered stitching detail for the letters and numbers, and the overall cut of those retail jerseys were wrong too.

I also like how Mitchell & Ness replicated this one with the black band when the Lakers wore it that during the 1999-00 season to mourn Wilt Chamberlain. I even noticed there was more thickness on this version too.

Anyone know why Nike didn't make this year's All-Star jersey (swingman OR authentic) available to the public this year? I can't remember the last time an All-Star jersey was just completely skipped by the NBA....

Wanted to pick up a Steph after his performance last night!

It made even less sense to me that they wore them after non releasing publicly. These things are a money grab to sell extra merchandise. If they weren't going to sell them, not sure why they didn't keep the pacers theme in the bag for when they actually have the game in Indy...

Would have been a perfect excuse to do a "retro" game and have each player wear either their home or away (white or non-white jerseys, historically) and add an AS patch on the shoulder.

Nike/NBA I'm willing to be put on payroll as a consultant. HMU

still keeping it. I assume they only got blanks of the authentic jersey and just heat press the players names and numbers that people choose. the quality of the heat pressed twill seems nice still

I was happy reacquiring this jersey last year because I had to purge the made in USA version I got back in early 2003 due to it being cut too big which was a common flaw plaguing made in USA jerseys from the 2000s.

It was disappointing to learn that Mitchell & Ness f'd up by using the wrong font style on this jersey. A gentleman on here inadvertently helped me realize the discrepancy by posting a picture of an actual game jersey that was hanging in this Lakers fan's garage he turned into a museum. The Mitchell & Ness version didn't have the same font style like the one in that man's museum.

I admit I thought he had a fake jersey because the one he had differed from the retail version when I saw that picture. Then some other peeps on here convinced me he always gets legitimate items no matter what. That's how I learned the retail version was inaccurate. I appreciate all the peeps who chimed in that they f'd up with this one.

It was good when I reacquired it until I learned the wrong font style was used. Too bad they'll never rectify it either. At least I got something useful for it.

I sent this out in the beginning of December. What's weird is, I sent 2 jerseys out prior to this one and still haven't gotten them back yet. As I get them in, I'll post the NBA jerseys in here.
