Lol no need to bet - I kind of alluded to that when I said the Kobe has “all the right tags” in my previous post.

I guess my main point was that apart from the tags - everything from the materials to the cut seems exactly spot on which is throwing me off.

The lack of a #size is definitely a red flag - and I think it could very well be fake for sure - but at least for me, it’s not determinative in the absence of other red flags you’d usually see in fakes (ie cheap glossy twill, weird jerry logo etc).

The tags/ material/ cut and quality of a jersey (or any piece of clothing) can vary depending on year or location of manufacture and defects do happen - which is why we have “B-grades” hit outlets etc. To be clear, not saying these were sold at outlets, but more to illustrate the point that the manufacturing of anything is not always perfect.

After years of searching, I was actually able to scoop both of these up a couple days apart for an amazing deal. Posted about this before, but the blue magic (in my size) is a grail I’ve been chasing forever and it just happened to have the 9/11 patch as a bonus.

I dunno maybe this was god’s way of easing the blow for that possibly fake Shaq jersey I posted on the previous page (if anyone else wants to end my misery one way or another feel free to chime in lol…)

My rule of thumb is fake champions from the early 00’s tend to have the flat “4” as pictured below. I can’t see anything obvious from the pics that scream fake, but I don’t have the best track record either lol.

I know we live in world where retail authentics are now being listed at pro-cut prices but I wouldn’t use price as a red flag all the time. Best example, if u go on poshmark and see the sold listings there is like a dude who has somehow mastered the algorithm and sniping the hell out of all the nba authentic jerseys (in sizes 40-48 ) for INSANE prices and re-selling - not hating tho, more power to them lol. But it shows there are still some sellers out there who haven’t caught on re the price inflation of this hobbie.
