The Knicks have made 2 Finals in the past 40 years. The Spurs season was a fluke. But, the 90s Knicks were just an integral part of NY at that time. Although they ultimately lost to Houston in '94, if Davis does not make those two free throws with 2 seconds left in Game 5, the Knicks don't make a single NBA Finals during what was ostensibly the only other period of "glory years" beyond the early 70s. So, yes, Knicks fans have as soft a spot for Hubert Davis as they have a grit of the teeth and clench of the fist they do for Charles Smith.
But, seeing as OP is a Bulls fan, I'm sure he doesn't want to immortalize that. BTW, it's also highly questionable as to whether Pippen even fouled him on that play.
