I heard that EPS has “hard” mesh but I also read in here that it’s because of an adhesive used and that you could ask for the adhesive not be used which would alleviate the issue.

I did that on the Wade jersey and was pretty happy that it wasn’t hard.

Adhesive keeps it from bubbling up, as standard practice. The Rev30 numbers are placed over twill, But I guess it's really not needed for them.

ha yeah. This is why you aren't supposed to use softener or dry clean your jerseys (unless instructed, like wool). These will eat at any adhesive and bubble numbers faster.
