As some of you may or may not know, Bad Boys 3 is coming out next year 6/2/2017. Martin and Will are back, however, Michael Bay won't be returning this time. Joe Carnahan will be Directing it. Can't wait to get more information about it.

Detectives Burnett and Lowery’s new case has an official name.

Sony has titled Bad Boys 3 as Bad Boys For Life, EW confirmed. The name change comes with the project moving closer to reality with a Jan. 12, 2018 release in mind, a source tells EW.

The new title is a fitting throwback to 2003’s Bad Boys II where star Will Smith tells his cop partner Martin Lawrence, “We ride together, we die together. Bad boys for life.” (See the clip, below.) The two will reprise the roles they debuted in 1995’s Bad Boys — Michael Bay directed that movie and the sequel. The Grey’s Joe Carnahan is in the director’s chair for Bad Boys For Life, not Bay.

Bad Boys For Life has had three different release dates in the last year, originally set for Feb. 17, 2017 before shifting to June 2, 2017. Now, it’s back to a winter window.

There’s a tangential Bad Boys connection to the new name. Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs’s record label is Bad Boy Records, a part of Sony Music. One of his singles (and all-time great music videos) is called “Bad Boys For Life.” Combs appeared on “Shake Ya Tailfeather” with Nelly and Murphy Lee; the Billboard No. 1 hit appeared on the Bad Boys II soundtrack.

Despite the finality of the title, Bad Boys For Life has no bearing on Bad Boys 4, a source tells EW. Bad Boys 4 is currently dated for July 3, 2019.

but just playing man im looking forward to this movie as well and still have not heard any concrete info other than people posting rumors just like the next friday.

''Bad Boys'' has been one of the most successful franchises in the world of cinema and the possibility of ''Bad Boys III'' being released on Feb. 17, 2017 has brought a lot of cheer to the fans. It is now confirmed that Will Smith will reprise as Mike Lowrey and Martin Lawrence as Detective Marcus Burnett. As per the latest updates, the producer Jerry Bruckheimer has signed the contract with Will Smith.

Rest of the cast of the movie is yet to be finalised. ''Martin Lawrence then appeared on The Mo'Nique Show and officially announced that "Bad Boys III" was in development. This was followed by the announcement that Peter Graig (co-writer of The Town) will write the script'' was confirmed by wikia.

Digital spy did an exclusive story on the upcoming movie. ''Jerry Bruckheimer has revealed that he wants Michael Bay to return to direct Bad Boys 3'' is what the article confirmed. In 2014 the producer Jerry Bruckheimer spoke with Digital Spy and confirmed that the screenwriter David Guggenheim was the person chosen to write the plot for the sequel and he was already working on it.

"He's working on an outline right now. Hopefully we'll get him started on a screenplay shortly," confirmed Bruckheimer.

I'll never forget going to the new Hood movie theatre in summer 2003 to see Bad Boys II. Fresh throwback on, all the bitties out.....and getting passed out free copies of State Property 2: The Chain Gang, after the movie :pimp:

Bruckheimer is solid in my book. I would prefer they just end the series w/ a trilogy, especially w/ the title change
