OFFICIAL BASKETBALL VIDEO GAME THREAD || NBA 2K24 OUT NOW; PREPARE YOUR BARBIES ACCORDINGLY

2k definitely gets a LOT of backlash for their stupid microtransactions. Especially the 35+ age group.

2K has been getting backlash for it's microtransactions for years.

A lot of reviews for the game often site that as major negative for the annual release.

But it's so ingrained throughout basically every facet of the game, it's par for the course at this point.

Spent a extra $15 on VC, think that was about 50,000 VC points. Went from a 73 to 79.

Think about 80 and up is serviceable MyPlayer build. Grind the rest of it out by playing MyCareer and Park games.

That bout it - I hook up ma dude to 80-85 ovrl rest is Park/Rec grind .. lvls up naturally nxt thing you know I'm sitting at 90+

This yrs 2k kinna LIT 🔥 so far

Played this dude in a 3v3 Pro-am last night

All they did was run 3-out and have the PG try and ISO me while his 2 bigs sat corner/tried to get rebounds after he misses

This big that i messaged didnt touch ball once no assist/no shots nothing.. just became a CORNER BOY while watching his teammate dribble dribble dribble and brick

I feel for any big that has to deal with this non sense

they was 6-0 to so that win felt even more better

Yea people talk with their money. I read the average 2K user spends about +$150 on miscellaneous items throughout the yearly cycle.

They are making so much money with no competition that they don't even HAVE to change much of what their doing.

So why stay on the team if that's how you are being treated. Help me understand. X xxpizzo

To get wins. That's literally the only reason. 2k22 and 2k21 was dominated by PNR or at least that's what all the "comp" players lived and died by.

Granted it wasn't REALLY Pnr in the traditional basketball sense, it was badge manipulation until you could get a guard open for a 30ft 3 by quick launching left to right, or a big wide open for an uncontested oop because it took 2 people to stick with the speed of the guards.

The rest of the team would be spot ups in the corners and at a hash to prevent help defense. However with 2k adding the new stamina and adrenaline system these "comp" guards who have been running left to right for years have reverted back to 5 and 3 out gameplay.

yo this games a catastrophe

im doing the jordan moments and it’s impossible

the second challenge you’re supposed to beat the nba all star team by 12 i just lost by 20 and they shot 81% lol
You can always turn down the difficulty & increase or decrease game length for those challenges. Or just practice until you’re better if you’re set on doing them at your current settings.

The first challenge I lost by 6, but I scored like 45 points, 4 rebounds and jordan fouled out.
Ewing WRECKED us in the first half

I feel better about the 2nd challenge, but its suspended with only a minute in.
Bird is gonna be a problem

I'm playing on HOF

in that first clip his ball handle is a 99 and he has HOF first step

he is speed bursting out of a dribble combo hence the HOF first step popping up.. Also look at the bottom everytime he hits turbo he loses a stamina bar

it has absolutely nothing to do with speed with ball even though its at a 25

badges play a huge roll btw

just watch this video i posted.. his first sentence listen to what he says

I don't spend money on VC because I never play my park or online. It's just never fun to me. I used to enjoy my player modes in most games but I hate the storyline and just want to play with my guy, not watch a storyline. Can I skip it at all?

I was playing 22 last month while it was free and I was enjoying that cuz I hadn't played a basketball game in a minute. Seeing the reviews for the Jordan and eras mode. I think I'll pick this up once it goes on sale

It's really irritating because I was attempting to complete the quest for the extra +4 badge points but got tired of running around dealing with the cut scenes.

Wish I stuck with it because now they patched the quest because it was giving people +8 points instead of 4.

Shooting isn't hard but there is a learning curve this year.

I NEED MIKE TO MAKE CONTROLLER SETTINGS SAVE. Sick of changing it every time I cut on the game.
