Thomas and Lucic both had huge games tonight.
Was it just me or did the ice look brutal in TB?

MINNEAPOLIS -- A medical examiner in Minnesota ruled the death of Rangers enforcer Derek Boogaard was an accident, due to mixing alcohol and oxycodone.

Don't want to speculate, but a part of me wonders if he committed suicide.

While we would all think that is the case, there's a lot of stuff that the public doesn't see. Being an enforcer in the NHL is obviously no easy task, and knowing guys who have played/play in the NHL and hearing their stories, there's lots of stuff that goes on in their private lives that we obviously don't know/hear about and would never think they could have the problems they do.
An insignificant example would be when Brian McGrattan was younger, the morning after a drunken night he would count the beer caps in his pockets to calculate how many beers he had the previous nightYou're telling me he's going to be able to deal with everything that comes with being a fighter in the NHL and dealing with life after that ends? Him and Emery use to pass out on their front lawns the night before a game (In junior)
