bears vs cowboys keys to game.

Three story lines

Redemption time? The Cowboys will be in desperation mode after one of the worst play calls in recent memory resulted in a fumble return for a touchdown by Washington on the final play of the first half. It was the ********' only touchdown, and the call has put considerable heat on offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, whose unit needs to play a whole lot better.

Trouble inside the 20. The Bears had the ball twice at the Detroit 1-yard line and managed just a field goal. That's one of the problems with coordinator Mike Martz's scheme. It's such a finesse operation that his unit struggles to run the ball inside the 20.

Need some takeaways. Dallas is looking to avoid its first 0-2 start since 2001. It would help if the Cowboys forced some turnovers. Although the defense did not allow a touchdown and yielded just 250 yards in the loss to Washington, it didn't get any turnovers that put the offense in scoring position. Bears QB Jay Cutler should give them an opportunity to intercept a pass or two.

Three key Bears

C Olin Kreutz. A few years removed from Pro Bowl form, he must play well against nose tackle Jay Ratliff. If not, Ratliff, an outstanding interior pass-rusher, will collapse the middle and force Cutler to the edge where LBs Anthony Spencer and DeMarcus Ware loom.

WR Devin Hester. Once considered the NFL's most dangerous kick returner, he was supposed to blossom as a receiver with Mike Martz as coordinator. But he caught only one 17-yard pass, in the first quarter. Don't be surprised if the Bears try to keep him away from CB Michael Jenkins, who excels in bump-and-run coverage, because Hester is better when he gets an easier release.

S Danieal Manning. He spends a lot of time as the deep safety in the Bears' two-deep zone scheme. While he has speed and quickness, he can be fooled by route combinations, so look for the Cowboys to send Miles Austin and Dez Bryant running deep through the zone waiting for him to make a mistake.

Three key Cowboys

LT Doug Free. He played well in his first game, but now he goes against a terrific athlete in Julius Peppers, who dislocated Detroit QB Matt Stafford's shoulder with a sack last week.

K David Buehler. He led the NFL in touchbacks last season and has a powerful leg, but he missed a short field goal last year and doesn't have a track record of success because he was a kickoff specialist in 2009. The Cowboys have no idea whether he'll handle the pressure if this is a close game late.

DE Marcus Spears. He plays a non-glamorous position because his job is to stuff the run on the strong side. If he plays well, it won't take long to discourage Martz from running the ball and making the Bears completely one-dimensional.

Bottom line: The NFL is all about urgency. The team with the most urgency, if it has the talent, wins. Dallas, a team with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations, will play with urgency and focus it lacked last week. The Cowboys will move the ball between the 20s, but the question is whether they can punch it in when the opportunity presents itself. The Bears went 2-5 against 3-4 defenses last year, but Martz had success attacking the Cowboys’ defense when he was in Detroit. After a week of harsh criticism from fans and media, the Cowboys will be looking to prove how good they can be, when they're dialed in

exactly he should worry about that suspect offense, and getting ran over by the Dolphins, anywho I think this will be a tough game for us, we HAVE to start fast and take the crowd out of the game, the second we let the crowd into the game it'll be hard to hear Cutler's calls at the line, and the stupid penalties will begin
