I posted this in the CFB thread, but Arthur Brown will make his decision tomorrow at 4:30 est. I was hoping some info would have leaked by now but his camphas been tight lipped all the way.

is terrelle pryor comparable to dennis dixon in the way that he plays? if so, hed be a nice replacement for the ducks. it seems like the best choice for him tofit right now, other than maybe michigan with rich rod's spread.

good thread... i dont wanna see pryor in the PAC for 4 years mayne. not a good look for the rest of us

who knows ^^^

Ohio State doesn't really run a true spread offense like Oregon/WVU/Michigan (with Rich Rod there now).

But yes, Pryor is very much like Dennis Dixon in the way he plays the game and how he reads the defense. Pryor as a Duck would do wonders forhim and this program. IMO, he would and could have more of an impact than Joey Harrington had on it. Obviously Dixon really left his mark here as one of thegreat senior QB's Oregon has had, but Pryor would be a star from day one.

Michigan has Ryan Mallet though, so I dunno if Michigan will be picking up a top notch QB (unless Mallet leaves now because he doesn't really fit thespread offense that Rodriquez runs)

Pryor is WAY more physical than D. Dixon.
Pryor can do excell if he's willing to be coached

IMO Will Hill is a better QB/Athlete than Pryor btu I think Im in the minority on that one.

We're def. going to have a top 1 or 2 recruiting class.
Tres, lets make a friendly wager?

I bet UM still won't crack 15 wins over the next two seasons combined?

I dont follow CFB recruiting because of all the nonsense involved and how inaccurate it always seems to be (rankings)

but

is there hope for ND? I know its rated highly but I'm just not buyin it

Anyone know anything about Bo Levi Mitchell from Katy (Texas) High School? He signed with Hawaii to play QB and his team is ranked 4th in the nation.

bout time we got one of these..the top 100 for 2008

I forgot what website i heard this on, im going to go look for it but i read that Matt Patchan wants to go to The Hurricanes his father who played for thecanes wants him to go to the gaytors. If this is true Matt Patchan SR. has some serious issues. but on the other note i think patrick johnson will deffly be ina hurricane uniform next season now that we got arthur brown.

GO CANES!

Pryor doesn't need to create hype for himself. His game does that. He put Michigan back on the list because of RR and ONLY that reason. Michigan stoppedlooking at him early on for some reason even though he had interest. I think it is going to be a nailbiter for him down the stretch. He will more than likelyofficial to Michigan after the AAA Game and RR and Tony Gibson are monster closers. He has already visited tO$U and since he didn't commit, I thinkanything is possible. I am sure they are still out in front but not a LOCK like many Browneye fans think he is. The big thing to watch is if Scot Loeffler isretained by Rich or not. If he isn't the chances of Mallett leaving increasingly go up, but if he stays I would imagine it would be tough for Ryan toleave. Scot Loeffler could be the wildcard in the recruitment of Terrell Pryor.

I think Julio Jones is going to go to Bama.

Houston (TX) Cy-Fair running back SamMcGuffie has been laying low for the past month or so. It's a far cry from normal for the 6-foot, 190 pound four-star prospect who became ahousehold name among recruiting fans when his junior highlight video on the website YouTube generated over one million views.

Running back Sam McGuffie will be playing in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on February 5

McGuffie, who has been committed to Michigan this summer, is trying not to think much about recruiting right now. With theresignation of Lloyd Carr and the hiring of Rich Rodriguez as head coach in Ann Arbor, it has seemingly thrown a wrench into theTexan's plans.

"I really don't know what's going on," said McGuffie of the Michigan coaching situation. "I haven't talked to coach Rodriguez yet oranything so I'm just kind of chilling and waiting to hear from him."

While it's no secret that one of the big reasons that McGuffie chose the Wolverines was because of his fondness for Carr and the rest of the coachingstaff, namely running backs coach Fred Jackson, Rodriguez is an intriguinghire for McGuffie.

"West Virginia is a school that I was looking at when I was narrowing down my choices this summer," he said. "It's definitely an intriguingthing but, at the same time, I've got to weigh all the factors now. I wanna talk to [Rodriguez] and I wanna see who he hires as the rest of hisstaff."

McGuffie says that, since Carr announced his resignation, he has been hearing from quite a few schools.

"Yeah, there are the schools that were recruiting me before and also some new schools that have been calling," he said. "UCLA started calling abunch, but I don't know about that. They don't even have a head coach right now."

As far as the school that finished second in the original sweepstakes for McGuffie, he says he has heard from them as well. New Texas A&M head coach, andcurrent Houston Texans offensive coordinator, Mike Sherman took time out tocall the local prospect.

"I talked to him for a long time the week after he was hired," McGuffie said of Sherman. "I really liked him. I think he's gonna bring anexciting offense to A&M. We talked about that and also how he wants to put together a brand new coaching staff. Chris Lathrop (McGuffie's high school teammate and Texas A&Mcommit) really likes him and is excited about him coming in to A&M."

As far as being absolutely sure about Michigan one way or the other, McGuffie says he's really not thinking about it right now. He is busy rehabbing anankle injury that sidelined him for a good part of the season this year as well as preparing for the Army All-American Bowl on January 5.

"I'm wearing an air cast around on my ankle, finally letting it heal," he said. "I got hurt the first game of the season and sat out thenext few games but I was never close to being back to 100-percent. I'm trying to rest my legs and get back to being healthy now.

"I'm gonna be ready for the Army game, though. I can't wait to get down there. It's gonna give me a chance to see some of the other top backsin person, like Darrell Scott."

Despite missing about one-third of the season and playing injured for the rest it, McGuffie earned unanimous first-team All District honors. He rushed for1,711 yards and 24 touchdowns in helping lead the Bobcats to the third round of the class 5A state playoffs.
