Crazy how bad the flooding is. I couldve bought a spinpoint 1tb for <60 back in march.

Workers left the flooded Western Digital factory in Bang Pa-In, Thailand, on Saturday. The plant makes a critical part for computer hard drives.

No wonder the price of their Element drives increased.

I was wondering why the price of the Caviar Blacks skyrocketed

Good thing I copped my 1TB WD Caviar Black a couple of months ago. I was expecting them and SSDs to drop in price soon, but sadly it won't for a while.

RAM prices are lower, though?

can't wait. In regards to EHD , do brands matter? I want something like 1TB for >60

That explains why the WD prices are so high. I should have copped a few months ago before the price jump

Hoping Amazon comes through with good deals.
