Will watch, but not really hyped. The movies are so basic in their plots (yes, even more basic than the anime), and I'm pretty sure that this won't be much different.

Yeah but you gotta cut them some slack, they have to stuff what basically amounts to an entire Saga into an hour and 30 minutes at most. It just makes the simple dynamic of DBZ get even simpler

Fair enough. I guess I was just wishing for ONE deep story in the DBZ universe; something different. Don't even know how they'd do something like this though, so I guess I'm asking for the impossible.

Gohan Still cant go Super Saiyan????(Just assuming cause why in the world wouldnt he do it there) They really ruined all chances of him becoming the best character again when they did that.



Side note, I havent watched DBZ in a while outside of the fights, but I'm sure that I remember the Elder Kai telling Gohan that he wouldnt NEED to go Super Saiyan after he unlocked his full potential, not that he CANT. Yet, the show makes it seem like he cant seeing as how when he was getting the brakes beat off him by Super Buu he didnt even try to do it. Or maybe I'm misrembering. R.I.P Gohan being cool.

Yeah after the Cell Saga Gohan lost it all. Only time he was relevant was when he had pulled that sword from the ground during the Buu saga. He actually gave Buu a run for his money w/o turning super sayian. I guess he needs the planet to be destroyed or Goku to die for him to turn SS. *shrugs*

In the Manga, Gohan's battle power exceeded SSJ3 Goku.

Yeah that's what they said, but imagine if he had that power, then could go super saiyan like he's supposed to be able to do.

I just want them to give a legitimate explanation of why he can't go super saiyan besides "he doesn't need to"

I remember this too but what was the point when they ended making him take the L in typical fashion. GOHAN fights,has the upper hand and then lets his ego get in the way and loses, the only exception was Bojack. They really ruined him
