You sure about that?? Did Sony release a new joypad for the PS3 that isn't complete garbage when it comes to first person shooters?
Yes, I rep 360, but I'm trying to be as objective as possible when I say this: Everyone and their mama (who isn't a PS3 fanboy extremist, that is) knows that the 360 is the main console for COD.. And shooting games in general. The 360 controller was MADE for those games and is flat out superior to Sony's 15 year-old controller design.
Thanks, champ.
...and yes, I am sure. Using my archaic controller, I am extremely confident I could work 98% of people that will own that game.
Also, I don't know if you knew this or not.... but if we all own a PS3.... we are playing OTHERS on PSN... so they have the same "disadvantage".
Of all the salt in this thread, your comment sounded the absolute saltiest.
"You sure about that, dawg?"
"360 is the main console, you know what that means? It's the best."
"I'm being objective as possible, though"
I have used a Sony controller since I was 14. There is something to be said about familiarity, no?
My truth-telling seems to have hit you right in your salt nerve. Forgive me.
When I first got my 360 and Gears of War 1, I got used to the 360 controller in like half an hour. I've spent much more than that playing Killzone 2 at myfriends place and the PS3 controller still sucks (for shooting games).
And yes, I know you're playing others on PSN and that they have the same "disadvantage". Way to miss the point. If you were playing COD with aNES controller against someone who also played COD with a NES controller, he/she would still have the same "disadvantage", but the point is that thegame wouldn't be quite as fun. Obviously, I'm not comparing the PS3 controller with the NES controller, but I'm trying to say that you get moreenjoyment out of the game with a better controller, and the 360 controller is flat out the superior one to the PS3 one when it comes to shooting games. Like Isaid, the 360 controller was practically made for shooting games.. In fact, it was made for shooting games to such extent that its performance suffers when itcomes to other games.. Which is what I'm willing to admit. The 360 controller has its faults, mainly the d-pad, which really sucks and where the PS3controller is superior. The d-pad on the 360 controller is good when it comes to the up, down, left and right and serves its purpose when you're selectingweapons in games like Gears of War.. But the diagonals are horrible. I wish I could play my Xbox Live Arcade games with the PS3 controller.. But when it comesto shooting games, there really is no contest.. Let a person who doesn't own neither a PS3 nor 360 and has never tried the controllers of the two consolesan hour playing COD on PS3 and an hour playing COD on 360, I can assure you that he would have a better playing experience playing COD or any other shootinggame on the 360.
I've also played with a PS controller since I was about 14, like you, and I still play my PS2. The controller is great for some game types, but as soon asit comes to aiming a shot in a shooting game, like using the sniper in a GTA game, its limitations can be felt.
