The people who make GT series, Polyphony Digital, is a first party studio meaning that they are developers under Sony. All First-party studio games are paid for by Sony. So just because they got a Ferrari for 20 mill doesn't mean nothing. Sony pays for it all.
And so they arent put into a hole with the game because its a first party developer?
If anything else they have a bigger deficit because it directly is involved with Sony instead of another developer.

But here's the thing, GT Franchise have betting getting Car licenses for years. So all of a suddenthey are in the hole? That doesn't make sense itself. And if what you are saying is true, what is your source?
