I’m trying to think if there is any other all-time great player who is as much as a loser as Kane is and I’m grasping for straws.

During many of England’s attacks, Kane wasn’t in a good position or even in the box at all.
He was more and more dropping deep because of the lack of service but then when a chance appears, Kane’s not in prime position.

He’s been doing that forever, especially when he massively improved his passing and creativity. But at his clubs, it’s generally appreciated as he uses that to assist Son etc.

Clearly it was a detriment here and Southgate needs to tell him that or get Watkins on sooner.
