Dalot, Martinez, DDG... what a defensive performance.
And a clean sheet led by the bravery and courage of Captain Maguire!

A lot of people saying it shouldn’t have been a handball on Asensio either, hit his chest first then off his arm that was blocking his face.

Got sketchy feelings from the ref in the first half even before this **** show, he was getting a lot of whistles from the Bernabeu in the first half too for dodgy officiating.

If we got that Asensio handball call, people would say the league is rigged

If there was any conspiracy, the one I’d buy is that La Liga tries creating a back and forth in titles between RM and Barca through refs. Sometimes feels like once one club wins the league the next season the other tends to get more favorable calls.

Reality is probably just that refs all have their individual biases which is how Tim Donaghy the nba ref was was able to win betting on games.

Seems a bit unfair to Haaland that he could never be the best to a lot of people because he’s not a jack of all trades, no matter how absurd his finishing gets. Defenders face a similar bias.
The question in itself is unfair because it’s a sport with fixed positions, everyone isn’t operating in the same zones, or tasked with the same duties. The fairest way to do it would be to split the outfield players into thirds. Best attacker, best midfielder, best defender and debate it that way. I think Haaland is going to be viewed similarly to Ronaldo at Madrid.
