My thing is that at 100M that eats almost half of our transfer budget if we are assuming it’s around the same as last year. Is it worth it to spend big on a striker and then only be able to get 2-3 more first team quality players in or use that money to get 5-6 players who may not be at that level now but have the potential to be. I started the season thinking the latter, then switched to the former and now after these recent results back to the latter

If we get new owners or a big increase in transfer budget due to CL qualification then it’s a no brainer for me. Over the last decade there has been two absolute certainties in English football. Citeh finishing in the CL places and Harry Kane scoring 20 plus goals. Guy would get us at least an extra 10 points a season.
