just to continue y’all’s discussion
the only reason why pool try and take this “not spending” persona is to try and make excuses for city

You really thought you were doing something with this quote from 2016…

100M+ transfers still had shock value back then. The game has changed and they’ve become relatively commonplace. You see at least one every transfer window. You either adapt or get left behind. Liverpool spending big isn’t a new development either, look at the fees paid for VVD and Allison…

you are right but it still makes klopp a hypocrite according to his own words
he has done nothing different

welp. he even admitted it. no point in trying to cape

Pogba wasn’t over 100 though, but is it not ridiculous to spend over 100 on a cm who’s played one prem season and cost 5 mil two years ago? Cmon fam it works both ways

Weve all become obsessed with fees.. it’s silly.

Lol typical diversion tactics. Way more went into that pogba deal and you know it.

Yea I'm not trying to get lectures from fans of clubs breaking league transfer records on defensive mids...

The market is mad and has been for a while now, no one has been immune so to act like certain clubs are above it and others aren't is dishonest as hell at this stage >D

You know what I’m not even trying to defend it. We’ve been managed like idiots for years. Fair play
