Huh? They bought Casemiro and Antony because Ten Hag wanted both of them. Not sure how you’re blaming the Glazers for financially backing their coach’s decisions. Ten Hag isn’t the coach everyone (myself included) thought he was. Dude copies everything about Pep except the winning part .
And good teams have a director of football who make those decisions.

Klopp isn’t in charge of transfers, neither is Pep. City/Pool/Madrid all have clear structures where DOF is clearly determining who gets brought in, and that’s why those teams have been so successful over the past decade.

In 2030, the FIFA World Cup will unite three continents and six countries, inviting the entire world to join in the celebration of the beautiful game, the Centenary and the FIFA World Cup itself. The FIFA Council unanimously agreed that the sole candidacy will be the combined bid of Morocco, Portugal, and Spain, which will host the event in 2030 and qualify automatically from the existing slot allocation subject to the completion of a successful bidding process conducted by FIFA and a decision by the FIFA Congress in 2024. Additionally, having taken into account the historical context of the first-ever FIFA World Cup, the FIFA Council further unanimously agreed to host a unique centenary celebration ceremony in Uruguay's capital, Montevideo, where the first ever FIFA World Cup took place in 1930, as well as three World Cup matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay respectively.

“In a divided world, FIFA and football are uniting,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “The FIFA Council, representing the entire world of football, unanimously agreed to celebrate the centenary of the FIFA World Cup, whose first edition was played in Uruguay in 1930, in the most appropriate way. As a result, a celebration will take place in South America and three South American countries - Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay - will organise one match each of the FIFA World Cup 2030. The first of these three matches will of course be played at the stadium where it all began, in Montevideo’s mythical Estádio Centenário, precisely to celebrate the centenary edition of the FIFA World Cup.”
Yea this is crazy but I guess they were always gonna try to do something unprecedented for the 100th anniversary of the WC

To be fair Ten Hag wanted De Jong, then had to get Casemiro instead, I'm still not impressed with transfers at all. Hojlund can be the truth as long as they keep progressing him.

Weird, so the teams that play the opening round in South America then have to deal with the jetlag and other inconveniences of intercontinental travel only to play again in Europe/Africa 4 days later?

Makes sense.

In theory, but Klopp and Pep definitely have a say as to who the club should go after.

At Liverpool & City is makes sense for Klopp & Pep to be involved, as long term project coaches. Liverpool also stepped in and denied Klopp Brandt and choose Salah instead.

Only coach at RM that had that kinda pull was Zidane, but he choose Hazard and really wanted Pogba. There's also a some good players he recommended when he was sporting director.

At Inter last season in the CL.

He had defenders in front of him that did their job. Lindelof is trash. Should have been sold a long time ago. Varane is washed.

Ramos on a free is what they should have done as a short term solution
