To be fair this is our current best midfield for this type of game, and Mendy has been somewhat solid at LB.
Definitely going to be seeing Camavinga early next half.

We have an actual 9 with more goals than our soft front 2 pairing combined who’s on the bench. The politics working against Joselu could ultimately cost us the league. Carlo is future Brazil NT coach, and Flo wants his investments (particularly Rodrygo) to have their stock rise.

The other thing too is someone like Rodrygo has a history of being clutch and changing matches off the bench. Could have started Joselu to give us physicality, mentality, and reference we need up top. And then the pacier Rodrygo change the match with Camavinga and Modric off the bench.
