Belgium always wondered what language the players speak when they come together for the national team , im guessing probly French

I think either French or English. Honestly I would assume English.
Our 3 national languages are Dutch, French and German.
The southern half of Belgium (the Walloon region) however doesn’t have mandatory Dutch classes, resulting in many southerners not knowing any Dutch whatsoever.

If I’m in Brussels or the south I just speak English. I live in the northern half (the Flanders region) so we had mandatory Dutch, French, English and German classes in school.

My German is terrible now though, our class was only 1 hour a week in highschool. My French is somewhat passable I guess but I prefer English either way.

Sure we learn all the languages here but unless you work in Brussels or the Walloon region, you’re never really getting into situations where you need to use French. So it tends to wither away after highschool.
