Roma were able to get him out of retirement damn :lol

He might be back shortly though, he's their 4th manager this year...

Every guy they’ve brought in lately was supposed to be their savior
This is the first hire under new management tbf. Who knows how it'll go in the end but they've finally done what many of us were asking for ages building a new club structure that has zero Glazer fingerprints on it :lol

Ironically enough, they're actively trying to move off the whole manager being the savior/end all be all authority at the club thing that's been around after Fergie.

Even his official job title is head coach, not manager anymore. It reflects the downsizing of the role, he won't get to call the shots 100% recruitment wise like United managers have been able to in the past.

There's a team above him to work on stocking the shelves for him based on his needs rather than wants while he mainly focuses on the team and on-pitch results.

They've also said they're aiming to create a set style of play and identity at the club at all levels regardless of manager/coach so that there's still continuity even when one leaves.

Hears to hoping it not just hot air and they actually stick to the plan :lol 🙏🏾

It bugs the **** out of me that no streaming services here will show Euro nations league or like, any WC qualifying matches. Watching CONCACAF Nations League is so underwhelming.
