I know united are excited about the new manager but there is a lot of pressure being put on him in some unfavorable conditions

That's the nature of the job I'm afraid, pressure cooker regardless :lol

Don't think the fanbase is going crazy with expectations though.

Think most don't care as much about league position after the start to the season more than seeing some coherent style and identity being built this season.

Joining midseason is tough no matter what, add in everything else up to this point and yea he doesn't have an enviable job :lol. Looks like the type to back himself to tackle the challenge though so wishing him the best of luck.

Gonna be easier to judge where things are heading further down the line after he gets time to implement his ideas and mold the squad to his liking.

How Amorim does this season shouldn’t even matter.

He’s coming into this rotten club mid season. This has been the worst club on the planet for the last 10 years.

A lot of people have to be smacked around first over there.

Yeah it does. 100%
Not talking trophies but the team has to show promise and improvement. He has to show at least a big improvement over ten hag. Maybe in Portugal you can afford to be mid but united don’t have that luxury

He's the coach of course it matters. No one is expecting top four but we have to start figuring out an identity at least. I also fully expect him to also hit the ground running and to be a much better team the rest oft he year. I don't think people realize how awful Ten Hag was and how much of a bounce we're about to get.

Man U has to undergo a significant rebuild which will take a few years at least
Barca did it with xavi. Took over mid season and went from 9th place to 2nd then won the league the next year.

with a much worse squad and the worst financial problems. The thing about United’s rebuild is that they have been rebuilding for a long time now. They just have to stop investing in bad players

Barca's situation is hardly comparable, in my opinion. I think Man U's rebuild will take as long as it took Arsenal to become competitive under Arteta.

As much as I want to criticize Nike for half assing ****, this is correct. I have the orignal player version and the replica version. The player version has the mesh on the back and the replica has the sublimated pattern all down the back.

The print is supposed to extend down

Yes on the replica version. From my understanding Nike is remaking the player version. The Nike logo and fpf crest is heat pressed, the print doesn’t go all the way down and the yellow piping is fabric but heat pressed instead of sewn on.

Heres a picture of my original player version

I’ll do a side by side when the reissue gets here and see what Nike ****** up on

if leao and barca want to be great, they have to find a way to get that deal done. Barca is going to make a big signing this summer. Camp nou is coming back in february/march.
unveiling Leao would be the best move for all parties cause milan isn't moving the needle. laporta is obsessed with haaland but there's a couple more years to realistically think about that and lewa is still lewa.
