I just don't understand their instance on putting any sort of release window that we pretty much know they aren't going to hit in their trailers.

R* and Naughty Dog’s approach on releasing their games at the near or very end of console gens.
They do it because they want the biggest install/ consoles sold each gen to maximize game sale profits. Especially when it’s a console only first release with a PC release delayed at least a year.
Then when the PS6 and next xbox is out they drop a remastered edition.
