Waka is one of the best interviews in the business. It's a big difference from when he first came out. At first listening to his music, and seeing his interviews I thought he was a ******. I didn't really start playing attention to Waka until he was working with Ra Diggs and Uncle Murda. Then he was on No Hands which blew up. You really couldn't deny that song.
I'm glad he mentioned watching people and how they treat others is how they'll eventually treat you, no matter how close you think you are. I'm a big believer in that.
I don't have a problem with anything he said. I think a lot of it has to do with how Waka and Nicki became bigger than he was. He has himself to blame with that, dude would spend half the year locked for the past five years.
as bad as gucci looking, flock holding back cuz in da back in his mind he knows gucci put him on...i can respect that.
Yeah Gucci definitely didn't put Waka on. Gucci was looked up when Waka dropped Salute Me or Shoot Me.

Nobody wouls know Waka if it wasnt for Gucci, how is this even debatable?

"Oh lets do it" Waka first single that got radio play was spreading through the south in early spring (March or April) 09 and then Gucci seen that it had momentum behind it and added it to his mixtape "The movie pt 2" that drop in late July 09 as a bonus track at end of the mixtape. Gucci didn't put him on to me.
He was only on one of Gucci's mixtape before that (the writing on the wall) and he was only on one song under the feature name bricksquad not waka.
Waka already had two club hits without Gucci on them is what people are forgetting.
To me putting someone on is what Cam did with dipset.

Aight
When Waka came out...the reaction was "ain't that ***** in the background of Gucci's videos"
If that's "putting someone on" then y'all are correct.
I thought putting someone in meant featuring them on a hit...jumping on one of their tracks...something tangible. Like dude said...what Cam did for Juelz and Jim.
False, between Waka's mom and uncle Cory Rooney, he had plenty of connections to get on without Gucci.
Gucci helped, but some of you act like his family isn't in the music or street business. Find out who Waka's uncles are.
Idgaf who his uncles are and nobody else does either...idgaf who his mom is for that matter. A manager can only do so much. Yall act like everything DA touxh turn to gold, if thats the case why everybody dip on her when they get a lil buzz?
That Gucci cosign gave Waka that stamp. He had to be on all his tracks to put him on? So I guess Rocko didnt put future on? I guess Kanye didnt put big sean on either...nobody would have gave a **** about dude music if he was just debra antney son.
if his family so heavy in the game, why was Flock just some dirty ***** in a tall tee standing in the background prior to this?
