OFFICIAL HOCKEY THREAD: NHL, KHL, NCAA, IIHL

We gotta take care of les Habitants ce soir, I don't know what it is but I strongly dislike that team :lol

Sad that for every monster hit we gotta have the discussion over whether or not someone should be suspended. :{ Just saw this on PD, followed by a caption on should Downie be suspended....it's a joke.

Hit looked clean to me, BTW.

It depends on the player and their history too...downie has a history (long one) going back to the minors of him doing pretty reckless hits while on the ice and headhunting...I had high hopes for him to be a Richards style player when he was coming up with us but he's a borderline head case :lol hard to tell though if he left his feet to make the hit but it looked shoulder to face? I dunno tough to tell...

Nah...I agree w/ you guys. You all hit the nail on the head. It's 100% b/c it's Steve Downie. ****, Dean McAmmond is probably still in orbit from a few years back :lol

on replay it looked clean, but im assuming a big part of it too is how Downie went flying after the impact (along with the ferociousness of the hit :eek )...seeing your teammate get slammed and then the guy who hit him goes sideways you can get the wrong impression that he left his feet, no?

boston's third line looks awesome. reilly smith and jordan caron are playing GREAT hockey with kelly. interesting to see if soderberg can keep his spot once he returns from the ankle injury.

marchand's snipe :hat

AO with another goal today :hat

2-0, defense looking better this year, hopefully continues in the playoffs

Just recently started following hockey heavy within the last couple of years...how common is a 5 day layoff during the season? On a positive note, I'll get to watch a lot of other teams this week while I wait for the Stars to play on Friday.

Flyers are stupid. Had the whole offseason to make a move and get a new coach/system in place. Now look at them...smh

I was gonna plan on heading down for their game at MSG on halloween but i dunno if I wanna see them looking like hot garbage in person.

Canucks with two big wins. :smokin

They seem to be buying in to Tort's more gritty system. And their powerplay is vicious again.
